I did it! I took the time to actually read the CVS sales flier, make a list and download their app. It took me about twenty minutes to set up the account and download their digital coupons. The savings were definitely worth it!

If you do not have the CVS app, you need to go to the App Store and download it before your next trip. It provides you with additional coupons that are not found in their flier. I saved $47.51 on this shopping trip or 33% of my total order. That’s a lot of beans! Prior to this CVS excursion, my year to date savings through June 17th was $69.15. So, I was averaging $13.83 per month without paying any attention. This week, I saved 3x my monthly average in just one trip. And, I am happy to report that I did not veer off my list and did not come home with anything that was not on the list.

I have been the worst at paying attention to the perks of being a frequent shopper at CVS. I am guilty of not using the 30% discount coupon they send in the mail. When I receive it, I always put it in a safe place and vow that “this time” I am going to use it. Inevitably, I go to get the coupon when I am ready to shop and the coupon has expired. Sound familiar? Why is it so hard for me to pay attention?

Well, I paid attention this week and I reaped the benefits of being a frequent customer – mission accomplished! While it is totally embarrassing that I’ve never done this before, I am extremely proud of myself that I finally did it. I’m going to have to get pants with bigger pockets so I can stuff them full of all the greenbacks I’m saving!

Next week I will be researching grocery apps that download savings directly into your PayPal account. You are not going to want to miss it.

Whenever I get a $5 off coupon from my CVS receipt it is like Christmas morning! Will definitely have to check out this app!

The CVS app is my absolute favorite! Make sure if you get an email with a coupon to “load it onto your card” then you will have instant savings on your next trip without even thinking about it. Wait until you start getting your monthly recaps, they are so exciting to see all that you’ve saved
